Rema Tec automates Wenko’s new distribution center

WENKO, a German family-owned company specialized in bathroom, kitchen or living room accessories, offers a range of over 6,000 products and develops around 500 new products every year. Handling this complexity effectively is vital to the company's success, which is why Wenko decided to restructure its logistics operations.

Time was of the utmost importance for Wenko: The aim was to put the newly equipped logistics center into operation in around 18 months once all the plans were in place. At the heart of the new logistics center: a massive warehouse for order picking of more than 8,000 articles. Pick-to-light technology is installed in the 20 tunnels and kilometers of conveyor lines connect the warehouse to an Interroll Crossbelt sorter, with 19 destinations each measuring 12.5 meters in length. REMA TEC has delivered, together Interroll, a truly future-proof installation.
